Paediatric bone clinic

Why choose us?

It is particularly important to receive expert care during childhood, for conditions which affect the growing skeleton. The paediatric bone clinic offers the combined experience of experts in the fields of paediatric care and rheumatology.

What we offer

The RNHRD provides a comprehensive, specialist paediatric bone service, which includes bone density measurement for children and adolescents at risk of fracture.

Disorders such as osteogenesis imperfecta, altered phosphate metabolism and glucocorticoid bone loss, as well as diseases that affect bone growth (e.g., cystic fibrosis, malabsorption states and asthma) are all seen by the experts at the clinic.

How to access our service

We can accept referrals from hospital paediatricians or GPs. All GP referrals should be made via the e-Referral Service.
