Working with us

Job opportunities

The NHS is the world’s second largest employer, offering a vast range of clinical and non-clinical career opportunities. At our hospital we actively encourage colleagues both in the development of their career in the health service and in the achievement of a good work-life balance.

Current vacancies

All NHS jobs, including current vacancies at our hospital, are advertised via the NHS Jobs website, a dedicated online recruitment website which provides job seekers with access to vacancies across the NHS. Our current vacancies can be viewed here.

Equal opportunities

The trust aims to make sure that equality is at the centre of our work when developing a policy or strategy, providing a service or employing people. The trust feels privileged to employ a workforce that not only takes pride in honouring its duty of care, but also reflects the rich mix of personal differences and cultures that together make up British society. The RNHRD  has zero tolerance for any words or actions towards its employees that can be viewed as prejudice, discrimination or harassment.

Type of contract

We offer many different types of contract which should enable people to find an opportunity that best suits their work/life balance requirements. The type of contract offered will be clearly stated when a job is advertised.

Still at school, college or university?

Work experience is one very practical way in which we like to get young people involved in the hospital. Showing you what we do gives you a chance to sample some of the jobs on offer in a hospital.

We operate a specific work experience programme, covering clinical and administrative hospital roles in partnership with a number of schools. We are only able to offer a limited number of work experience places each year, so please contact us stating the name of your school and your year group as early as possible. More details are availabler here

We have links with many universities and colleges and take on a large number of students every year. If you are at university or college and you would like to gain work experience with us, please discuss this with your tutor who will be able to inform you if your university or college has links with our trust.
