To support the effective and individualised learning of our employees we recognise the value of learning for our employees and seek to achieve this by:

  • Promoting a culture in which individuals take responsibility for their learning and see it as an essential part of their day to day work
  • Ensuring Managers understand their role in developing their people
  • Provide resources for development, including study time
  • Encourage employees to see their career and learning as their own responsibility, and it is interesting, enjoyable and worthwhile.  Continuous Professional Development is promoted and supported.
  • Employee preferences for learning and development are understood and catered for and learning is offered to benefit employees in their current role as well as providing opportunities to develop.
  • Learning is seen as an investment, not a cost and we have a dedicated education team offering a range of opportunities for development.
